Glove sterilization system Solpat

Through UV treatment, the "Solpat" glove sterilization system is effective in removing secondary infectious bacteria such as norovirus, salmonella, O157, mutans, etc. which pose a huge risk.

Is hygiene management for disposable gloves been enough in the field of food production, dental care and nursing care?

Do you know that even if disposable gloves are used, there is a high risk of cross-contamination, including food poisoning, due to various factors?

Even if the gloves are brand new, it has been confirmed that germs are already attached to gloves except sterilized ones. It is a fact that the timing for changing gloves differs depending on the individual.

In case of contact with something that cannot be denied the possibility of contamination, change the gloves or clean the gloves and handle them hygienically…
We know that, but are you thorough about that?

For example, there is a situation like the following.
・ Insufficient hand-washing causes bacteria to adhere to hands when wearing gloves.
・ Touching faucets, doorknobs, food containers, etc. while wearing gloves.
・ When making various records, holding a writing tool while wearing gloves. And so on…

Workers wear special gloves and simply put their hands in the UV sterilization system for only five seconds.
The glove sterilization system, Solpat, can demonstrate excellent sterilization effects in food production, dental care, and nursing care workplaces by applying UV light for only 5 seconds after wearing special gloves, helping to prevent cross-contamination.
UV sterilization is a safe and secure method without chemical residue or environmental damage.

Its effects have been proven in sterilization tests using UV irradiation.

Sterilization effect test by General Incorporated Foundation, Japan Food Analysis Center  No. 13043858001-01

[Test Details]
E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus were respectively placed in the UV device of the glove sterilization system, Solpat, and irradiated with UV light for 3 seconds.

In December 2019, an additional bactericidal effect test was conducted on Bacillus subtilis (spores).

Feline Calicivirus Inactivation Test

Test results showed that feline calicivirus (norovirus substitute) was undetectable after UV irradiation for 4 seconds.

The glove sterilization system, Solpat, uses a "low-pressure mercury UV lamp" that emits UV light at 254nm close to its peak at 260nm.

The glove sterilization system, Solpat, not only sterilize gloves with UV light, but also has a system that tracks the sterilization record. In other words, the system records whether workers are sterilizing at the right time and whether they are doing it correctly.

Thorough management of sterilization records for all workers

It is possible to manage the sterilization record for workers. By managing with the IC chip, there is no action that leads to secondary contamination, such as "holding the pen and filling out the sterilization record on the sheet. ".

※The system reads the IC band of each worker and saves the sterilization record to a SD card. (Standard equipment)

Toward the acquisition of ISO 22000

By managing data on sterilization records at food manufacturing sites, it is possible to set up hygiene management for gloves under OPRP in order to acquire ISO 22000, which is the international standard for food safety management systems (FSMS).

An example of a system

It is possible to build a system that centrally manages data (entry and exit of each worker, sterilization records) obtained from multiple Solpads and IC readers on a single PC. As for IC tags, it is available for both Felica and Mifare.
